The Texas Tribune
Transforming the user experience to see pledges increase 44 percent
The Texas Tribune is a Texas-based nonpartisan, nonprofit media organization that has received more than 141 million page views from 18 million visitors, as well as many prestigious awards and accolades. Even though they have an internal team of designers, they wanted a fresh perspective to make their brand even bolder. We helped improve their branding to a more sophisticated look and feel for their pledge site, media kit, and dozens of automated email campaigns. Our design style guide was also carried through to their entire website and branding strategy. They saw an incredible increase in interaction on their pledge drive, with pledges increasing from 27 to 44 percent.

The Pledge Drive
Twice year, the Texas Tribune runs a pledge fundraising drive to fund their efforts. In the past, they had built it in-house, but people were confused on how to give. We researched successfully fundraising UX and redesigned their goals and pledges to be more accessible and understandable.
The Texas Tribune had us transform an old, PDF press kit into an online version. We matched it with the new style we created for them.
They release a lot of e-mails. We created dozens of templates for their teams, from fundraising announcements to monthly news alerts.
